The basic objective of obedience is to produce dogs that have been trained to behave in the home, in public and in the presence of other dogs.
The purpose of obedience trial is to demonstrate the usefulness of the dogs as a companion of man not merely the dogs ability to follow specified routines in the obedience ring.
Review the Obedience Trial and Rally Obedience Trial Rules and Regulations to better understand the principles and requirements.
